I think the majority of campers are budget conscious people. Personally, I have purchased Orca coolers and other camping supplies that cost me hundreds of dollars each. I also have purchased probably 70% of my stuff at Walmart. I find them good quality at a good price. Don't let anyone tell you that paying more means the best product. There are always going to be bad reviews/good reviews of any product, no matter what someone has paid. Someone may give a crappy review because they are left handed and the tent zipper opens on the right. That doesn't make the product itself bad, just not right for that person. The cost of sewer hoses, EZ ups, tank cleaners, camp chairs, tents, coolers, cooking gear, sleeping bags, air mattresses etc. definitely add up. Honestly, camping is not exactly the cheapest hobby. Never mind the cost of the campsite space itself. Start small and improve as you go, and only if you need to.
